In October 2025, we shared an afternoon at TU Delft Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment. Several presentations addressed the use of AI in current Dutch Architectural Practice. Among the presentations, Lennaert van Capelleveen exemplified the work done at The ArchiTech Company. Lennaert discussed how the Dutch-based firm ArchiTech Company integrates parametric design and artificial in their design processes with the intention to create healthier, more sustainable, and human-centered architecture. According to Lennaert’s presentation, by combining environmental data, computational design tools, and AI-driven optimization, the firm aims to develop architectural solutions that improve daylight, wellbeing, energy performance, and spatial quality. The presentation triggered interactive exchanges of thoughts with reflections on whether these methods help moving beyond traditional processes, using data-informed models to support creative decision-making and deliver architecture that balances technical performance with human experience.
